Dex Entry:"Ardura is a very cheerful PKMN. It hops to get around, and leaves scorch marks from where it leapt."
About:
It leaves scorch marks from hopping around. Ardura lives mostly on the land, and loves a hot, dry climate. They eat a variety of bug pokémon, and convert the food into heat. They store excess heat in deposits near their groin in case food is scarce.
If it's winter, Ardura will hop repeatedly on a spot so the the ground will be warm enough for them to burrow in and hibernate for the whole season.
During the extremely dry months, however, they estivate by digging a burrow and covering it all over with mud so they don't overheat. If they do overheat, Arduras will become very aggressive, which is is very different from their usual cheery-like nature.

Based On: Toads
Design Notes - I skipped the tadpole stage due to the fact they don't really hop. And besides, this is mostly based on a toad. It has a tail since it's not yet fully matured, which matches the starter theme. Swirly things are actually plates.
