Draw for yourself, not an audience!
The first and probably most important point, especially for any artist on here who in one way or the other seeks feedback and recognition from their fellow deviants. You should never forget that your art is after all YOUR art, so it should be a means to express yourself, relax yourself, be proud of yourself etc and not anyone else. Never let yourself be pressured to do anything you don't want simply because your watchers might demand it or do anything for the sole purpose of getting more attention. It might make you happy in the beginning but loosing track

How can I help?
At regular intervals, new faces appear in the Community Relations team as open positions for Community Volunteers are filled. All these new additions to the team can spark interest in volunteering for dA and can inspire people to ask "What can I do to support my favourite gallery?". You don't have to be a Community Volunteers or have a fancy symbol next to your name to promote and support artists within your favourite gallery. The suggestions listed below are for everyone, and in case you want something a little more useful than just my ideas I've included links to FAQ entries with more information.

deviantART is an artist dream come true and caters to artist from all artistic mediums. I know of no other
online community that is in constant contact with their members and
allows members to run their own groups with specific rules and
guidelines that you have decided for your group.
If you are not interested in becoming a founder or administrator of a group, deviantART has hundreds if not thousands
of groups for you to search and find one or more that is to your
comfort level and liking. Groups are a fantastic way to find other
artist to discuss techniques, share idea's, collaborate and make new
friends.
